Award Success for Two Myrick Apprentices
Two apprentices, who completed apprenticeships with Myrick Training Services, have won awards at the annual Skills Academy Wales Apprenticeship Awards.
The prestigious awards evening will take place on 7th November 2023, celebrating the success of apprentices and recognising the unwavering support of employers and work-based learning practitioners.
Skills Academy Wales WBL Partnership, led by NPTC Group of Colleges, supports the delivery of apprenticeships across Wales in a wide variety of occupational sectors, helping businesses to fill skills gaps by growing their own talent.

Needle Rock | Remarkable Upholstery is building their workforce by training apprentices. Upholstery and industrial sewing machine skills are gained at their workshop in rural west Wales. To date, Needle Rock has successfully trained two apprentices in these roles and have just recruited two more.
“We are planning to create a new Level 3 apprenticeship scheme incorporating more complex elements of traditional and modern upholstery. One thing is for sure, with popular TV shows such as ‘The Repair Shop’, the craft of upholstery is undergoing a dynamic resurgence. These life-long skills are being handed down to future generations in the same way as heirloom furniture.” Dr Ali added.
